TEXTILES PRESERVING THE PAST

The Textile Hive is more than a museum. It is a physical and virtual archive that holds over 40,000 different textiles that represent the likes and curiosities of one woman. Caleb Sayan created this place in honor of his mother and creating a way to represent her life’s adventures and her life living abroad for over 15 years.

To make the archive more attractive to those in this generation, Sayan replicated all of the textiles digitally. He believes that more people will interact with it digitally and allowing schools, businesses, and individuals to view it with a subscription. You are able to search through them by styles, patterns, and weaves and viewing textiles from over 50 different countries.
