Chicago studio, Kwong von Glinow, is offering a new modular way to look at apartments. Traditional "pancake stacked" apartments are lacking in community activity. By designing a variety of apartments of all different sizes, the studio believes the users will be able to interact with each other in a new way.
Each apartment would be customizable to the user and assembled off-site. As the apartments move farther up, each apartment will have a smaller footprint than the one below it in order to create a pyramid affect. The interior of each apartment will be very simple, in order for the user to personalize it and make it their own.
