KUT Studio is putting a twist on the way we use blinds. They are transforming the average window blind into an art piece of its own. This interactive system allows users to customize their blinds into any shape or design their heart desires. Through the use of a any touchscreen device you simply draw on the screen to change the look.
Kia Utzon-Frank began to prototype her design back in 2013 and has been refining and collaborating with other designers ever since. The blinds are a series of modules across a vertical plane that are made out of a flexible material which allows the the blinds to twist open and close or go up and down. These designs are not yet available on the commercial market but will hopefully make their way there soon.
